Is this a yoga mat?
No. It is a recovery surface. You can do yoga on it, and some people will, but it was designed for someone lying on the floor after a day of sitting.
Why cork instead of foam?
Cork is naturally antimicrobial, so it does not hold odour the way closed-cell foam does. It also gets grippier as your hands and feet get damp, and it does not off-gas.
How small does it actually fold?
12 × 9 inches, flat, at 1.5 kg. That is a laptop-sleeve footprint. It fits in a backpack, an office drawer, or a cabin bag.
Will it slip on tile or polished wood?
No. The base is natural rubber, which is dense enough to hold on hard, smooth floors even at 2 mm.
